About Me

My name is Natalia Allen, and I am running for the Sunrise Commission, Seat A because I am deeply committed to serving our community and making a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

I have always been passionate about community service and believe in the power of local government to effect meaningful change. My desire to contribute to the well-being of our city is the driving force behind my candidacy.

Throughout my life, I have been an advocate for our community. I am committed to continue working tirelessly to address the concerns and needs of our residents. I am dedicated to ensuring that every voice is heard and that our local government is responsive to the people it serves.

There are critical issues facing our community that I am committed to addressing. These include improving our educational and youth services, accessible housing, enhancing public safety, promoting sustainable development, and ensuring fiscal responsibility. I believe that with effective leadership, we can tackle these challenges head-on and create a brighter future for all.

With my background in education, government, public service, non-profit organization leadership, and journalism, I bring a unique perspective and a set of skills that will be invaluable in serving as your commissioner. My leadership experience as the chair of the City of Sunrise Education Advisory Board and Broward County Racial Equity Task Force has equipped me with the knowledge and expertise needed to navigate the complexities of local government and advocate effectively for our community.

My vision for Sunrise is one where every resident feels valued, safe, and empowered to thrive. I want to build a community that fosters collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation. Together, we can create a city that not only meets the needs of today but also paves the way for a prosperous and sustainable future.
